Mr. Brian Burbach
Brian Burbach and his family came to SMCA in 2001. He previously taught for 5 years in Florida and received a Master's Degree in Education Administration. He has 4 children and has the privilege to work alongside his wife.
His strongest desire is to see the students, faculty and staff grow together, not just as a school, but in their understanding of who Jesus is and His purposes for humankind.
One of his favorite authors is Dallas Willard. Brian loves to cook, travel and spend time with his family,
Mrs. Audra Burbach
Audra Burbach began working as our guidance counselor in 2012. She graduated from Pensacola Christian College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1994.
She and her husband moved to Merrimack, NH in 2001. Brian became the school administrator while Audra worked part-time at SMCA teaching home economics. After her four children were all in school, Audra came to SMCA full-time as our guidance counselor. Her desire is to assist each senior as they prepare for their future. She encourages them to understand their God-given strengths and interests, and helps them focus on developing their knowledge and skills, then links them to higher learning and training. She also provides individual counseling to help students thrive in a safe learning environment.
Mrs. Megan Clark
Megan Clark has wanted to be a nurse from the age of four and saw this dream come to fruition with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Cedarville University in Cedarville, OH in 2000. Her career began with a short stint in the Intensive Care Unit at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, MD followed by 13 years as a “float pool” nurse in two hospitals in Reading, PA filling the various staffing needs throughout the hospitals.
In 2014, Megan transitioned from hospital nursing and began her teaching career at The Salter School of Nursing both in the lab and classroom settings.
In the spring of 2018, Megan joined SMCA as a temporary substitute for the school nurse position and quickly fell in love with the students and community at large.
When not teaching or filling the role of school nurse, Megan enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 children, church ministry, reading a good book, and gardening.
Mrs. Janice Conyers
Lunch and Event Coordinator
While on the third year of homeschooling her children, Janice completed her Bachelors in Organizational Management with a focus on Hospitality from Ashford University in 2012. Prior to that, Janice owned and managed her own catering and restaurant business, and worked as a volunteer for over 5 years within various positions. She is ServeSafe Certified and attended the school of Culinary Arts in Bristol, Virginia.
Just after graduation, her husband's company moved them from Bristol, Tennessee to Japan where they spent the next 2 years. While living in Japan, Janice was voted in as the president of the PTA, managing an international board of volunteers from all over the world. Janice was thrilled to have the opportunity to use her degree as an Event Manager, as the PTA focused on building up extra funds needed through fundraising and events, while also creating a strong community.
Upon returning to the United States in 2015 her husband's company relocated them to Pepperell, MA, where they currently reside with their two kids and Pomeranian. Janice was brought on staff at SMCA in 2017 as the Events and Lunch Coordinator. Since then, her role has expanded to occasionally include Nurse's Assistant and Office Support.
Janice has a passion to bring people together, creating community through volunteer work, special events, and FUNdraising! In her spare time, she enjoys camping with her family, renovating her house or furniture, crochet, and bargain hunting.
Mrs. Sandra Metaxotos
Sandra Metaxotos was delighted to join the SMCA staff in May, 2018 as Financial Assistant, and enjoys working with and getting to know families and staff at the school. She and husband, Larry, joined the SMCA family as parents in 2011. Sandra attended the University of New Hampshire and obtained a degree in Communications. She then spent almost 10 years working in the insurance industry as a Claims Adjuster, Supervisor, and Claims Training Instructor before leaving the work force to raise a family. She has been involved in many different capacities at her church, and enjoys skiing with her family, amusement parks, reading a good book, hosting parties with her husband, movie nights, spending vacations and holidays with family, and just hanging around by the pool.
Mrs. Kris Rechtsteiner
Kris earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with Psychology and Literature minors from Houghton College in Houghton, NY. Prior to her employment at SMCA, she worked in Christian camping and for a software company. She continues to enjoy doing projects in her church including mission trips, fundraisers, and landscaping projects, as well as children's ministry.
Kris joined SMCA in 2017. She is eager to connect with the students and their families. She desires to make their daily routines more seamless even when they have issues that seem to run counter to that goal.
Mrs. Janell Spurr
Janell Spurr earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, with an Accounting emphasis, from Biola University in La Mirada, California. Prior to her employment at SMCA, she worked in accounting and finance. She also enjoyed homeschooling her children with the A Beka Academy curriculum for eight years.
Janell joined the SMCA office staff in 2011. She thrives on opportunities to connect home and school with useful tools and resources. From restructuring our student billing process when she first arrived, to supporting the migration efforts of two computer management platforms, she is always looking for ways to improve.
However, her greatest joy is to be a participant in the community-atmosphere that makes SMCA special. She is humbled to witness the contributions and sacrifices made by students, families, friends, faculty, and staff as they reflect the fingerprint of God.
